LAPAROSCOPY
The real benefit of laparoscopy for small animal is the enhanced visualisation which leads to safer surgery. The ultimate aim of laparoscopy should be safe, visual surgery, with the secondary benefit of small wounds. The most common pets rigid laparoscope has a diameter of 5 mm and a lenght of 300 mm. However, almost any size rigid telescope may be used for small animal laparoscopy, including 10 mm in diameter.
